At Lingo Network, we provide all of the features you need to conveniently provide thorough English conversation lessons online. The lessons are taught using our lesson application within your web browser; no installation needed. Just prepare a web-camera and headset, and you are ready to roll!
Teach from home in your spare time:
Earn a reasonable supplementary income while teaching at the times you want. Our scheduler makes it easy. Simply log in, click on the schedule link and enter your times into the calendar. Students will then be able to browse the calendar and find teachers that are available during the times they'd prefer, and teaching the topics they'd like. When a student chooses to take a lesson with you, you'll be notified by Email that a lesson has been booked and reminded again the day before the lesson. You will only need to visit the site and log in if you actually have a lesson!
Know in advance if you have a lesson or not:
Lingo Network allows you to choose how long before your available time-slot a student must schedule a lesson. Just go into your profile and select how many hours in advance a student must book in order for a lesson to be scheduled. You can set the advance booking time to be an amount of time from 72hours before the lesson, meaning you will always know your teaching schedule three days in advance, to 1 hour before the lesson, if you can be at your computer ready to teach with very little notice on that day. We also remind you the day before, so you'll never need to worry about missing a lesson.
Preparing for a lesson is easy:
We have a large database of lesson material in the form of slides, already uploaded on our site. You can browse through them before or during a lesson to familiarize yourself with the slides you'd like to use. You will also be able to see which of your students in the upcoming lesson has used what material, so you don't have to worry about repeating a lesson they've already been taught. Each slide comes with notes for the teacher, giving advice and information about the contents of the slide and things that can be taught along with it. Can’t find the slides you want? No problem, you can use the slide-creator tool to make slides yourself!
Communicate with students and other teachers:
After a lesson, a teacher will provide thorough evaluation of their students' progress. Lingo Network also provides many community features to allow students and teachers to interact with each other outside of the lesson. You can join a club of people with common interests or start a forum with other teachers on making new lesson material, etc.
Let us help you teach:
At Lingo Network, we ask that you connect to a demonstration lesson with some of our staff members, to give you a chance to ask questions, and for us to be sure about your teaching abilities. After lessons, students can also give you feedback on how you taught, and offer you comments they may have. Of course if your feedback from students is good, other students will be more likely to choose a lesson from you.
