How do I start and submit a lesson?

Start a Lesson

  1. Sign in with your student account.
  2. Open the class, then the course, then the lesson you want to complete.
  3. Select Start. If you already began the lesson, select Resume instead.
  4. Complete each required activity in the lesson.
  5. Use the lesson navigation to move through the pages.

If Your Teacher Shared a Lesson Link or QR Code

A direct lesson link opens a specific lesson for a specific class. If you are not signed in, LingoLesson asks you to sign in first and then returns you to the lesson. If the link also enrolls you in the class, you may see a confirmation that you have joined the class.

Understand the Lesson List

  • Status shows whether the lesson is not started, in draft, or submitted.
  • Score appears when a score is available.
  • Feedback appears when your teacher has added feedback you can view.
  • Submission gives you the next action, such as Start, Resume, View, or Restart when your teacher allows resubmissions.

Move Through the Lesson

Some lessons have multiple pages. Use Next and Previous to move through them. If Next is disabled, finish the required activity on the current page first. LingoLesson saves your answers as a draft while you work.

Submit a Lesson

  1. Continue until you reach the final submit page.
  2. Review the lesson and make sure all required activities are complete.
  3. Select Submit Lesson.
  4. In the Submit lesson? dialog, select Submit.
  5. Wait for LingoLesson to finish submitting before closing the page.

Troubleshooting

  • If Submit Lesson is disabled, complete the remaining required activities. For specific activity help, see audio and video responses, image uploads, and Check Answer.
  • If LingoLesson says to complete the lesson before submitting, return to the unanswered activities and finish them.
  • If the lesson is unavailable, it may be hidden by your teacher, outside the available dates, or opened from an old or incorrect link.
  • If you see Not Authorized, make sure you are signed in with the correct student account and enrolled in the correct class.
  • For recording, camera, microphone, or upload activities, make sure your browser has permission to use the required device or file.
