Terms and Conditions
These terms explain the rules for using LingoLesson as a teacher, student, school, or institution.
Last updated: August 3, 2026
1. Agreement to these terms
LingoLesson is a web-based learning management system for language teachers and learners. By accessing or using LingoLesson, you agree to these Terms and Conditions and to our Privacy Policy.
If you use LingoLesson on behalf of a school, university, language program, business, or other organization, you represent that you have authority to use the service for that organization and to manage the classroom materials and student access you create.
2. Accounts and access
Users sign in with supported third-party identity providers, including Google and Microsoft. You are responsible for keeping your account and identity-provider credentials secure and for activity that occurs under your account.
LingoLesson may refuse, suspend, or remove access where necessary to protect the service, users, student data, or classroom communities.
3. Teacher and institution responsibilities
Teachers and institutions control the lessons, classes, assignments, student rosters, media galleries, feedback, rubrics, prompts, and classroom workflows they create in LingoLesson. They are responsible for:
- using LingoLesson for lawful educational purposes;
- inviting or enrolling only appropriate learners into classes;
- obtaining any required school, parent, guardian, or learner permissions;
- reviewing AI-generated materials and feedback before relying on them;
- respecting copyright, privacy, accessibility, and academic policies; and
- removing content or access that is no longer appropriate for a class.
4. Student use
Students use LingoLesson to access teacher-assigned lessons and submit classroom work, which may include text, images, audio, video, quiz answers, comments, reactions, or other learning activity. Students should use LingoLesson only as directed by their teacher or institution.
Students must not submit content that is unlawful, harmful, abusive, infringing, private to another person, or unrelated to the classroom task.
5. User content and classroom materials
You keep ownership of content you create or upload to LingoLesson, including lesson materials, prompts, submissions, recordings, feedback, comments, and uploaded media. You grant LingoLesson permission to host, process, store, transmit, display, convert, transcribe, and otherwise use that content as needed to provide, secure, support, and improve the service.
Teachers and institutions are responsible for ensuring they have the rights to upload and share any materials they add to lessons, including PDFs, images, audio, video, text, embedded materials, and imported content.
6. AI Add Ons and automated features
LingoLesson offers optional AI Add Ons, including automatic speech recognition, text-to-speech, generative AI, image generation, OCR, and AI-assisted feedback or scoring. These tools may be provided through LingoLesson systems and third-party AI or media-processing providers.
AI output may be inaccurate, incomplete, biased, unsuitable for a learner, or inconsistent. Teachers remain responsible for reviewing AI-generated lessons, transcripts, images, scores, rubrics, and feedback before using them for instruction or assessment.
7. Media galleries and sharing
Teachers may create private media galleries that let students view, comment on, or react to classmates' submissions. Teachers are responsible for choosing appropriate gallery settings and for explaining classroom expectations before making student work visible to others.
LingoLesson may also provide lesson share links, direct lesson links, or gallery links. These links are permission-gated: only the class teacher and students enrolled in the relevant class can open the related content. Users should still share links only with intended class members.
8. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- attempt to access accounts, classes, media, or data without permission;
- interfere with or overload LingoLesson systems;
- upload malware, exploit code, or intentionally harmful content;
- use LingoLesson to harass, shame, profile, or discriminate against others;
- circumvent AI usage limits, subscription limits, or security controls;
- reverse engineer the service except where law permits it; or
- use LingoLesson in a way that violates applicable law or school policy.
9. Plans, subscriptions, and purchases
LingoLesson may offer free, paid, institutional, subscription, seat-based, or usage-based plans. Paid subscriptions and AI usage packages may be processed by Stripe. Pricing, included seats, AI usage amounts, billing cycles, taxes, and renewal terms are shown in the product or at checkout.
AI usage packages are usage credits for supported features. They are not bank balances, gift cards, or stored-value accounts. LingoLesson may adjust plan limits, pricing, and feature availability prospectively.
10. Privacy and security
Our Privacy Policy explains how LingoLesson collects, uses, stores, and shares information. LingoLesson uses technical and organizational measures intended to protect user data, but no online service can guarantee perfect security or uninterrupted availability.
11. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate access if a user violates these terms, creates risk for the service or other users, fails to pay amounts due, or uses LingoLesson outside permitted educational purposes. Teachers and institutions may also remove students from classes or revoke access to classroom materials.
12. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
LingoLesson is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and uninterrupted or error-free operation.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, LingoLesson will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, lost goodwill, or service interruption.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. If changes are material, we will take reasonable steps to notify users, such as updating this page, providing in-product notice, or contacting account owners.
14. Contact
Questions about these terms can be sent through the LingoLesson contact form.
