How do I create a lesson?

Create a Lesson

1. Sign in with your teacher account.
2. Open the course where the lesson should live.
3. If the course has no lessons yet, select the new lesson link in the empty lesson area. Otherwise, select New Lesson.
4. In the New Lesson dialog, enter the Lesson Name.
5. Select Save.
6. Open the lesson from the course table to add or edit lesson content in the lesson editor.

What Happens Next

New lessons are created inside the selected course. When a course is assigned to a class, lessons already in that course are turned on for the class.

Troubleshooting

• You must create or open a course before creating a lesson.
• If the course containing the lesson has been assigned to one or more classes, updates to the lesson are reflected for those classes. Students who have already started a draft or submitted the lesson keep the version they started with.
• If the course is already assigned to a class, newly added lessons may need to be turned on from the class's assigned course settings before students can see them.
