How do I unassign a course from a class?

Unassign a Course

1. Sign in to LingoLesson with your teacher account.
2. Open the class that currently has the course.
3. Open the class's assigned courses view.
4. Find the course and select Unassign.
5. Wait while LingoLesson loads the unassignment impact.
6. Review the affected submissions, assets, feedback, and students shown in the confirmation dialog.
7. Type unassign, then select Unassign.

What Happens Next

• The course no longer appears in that class.
• The course and its lessons remain available in your teacher account and remain assigned to any other classes.
• Class-linked submissions, submission assets, and teacher-feedback assets for that course shown in the impact dialog are deleted.
• Students lose access to the course in that class, but they remain members of the class and their accounts are not deleted.

Before You Unassign

• Export submissions you need to keep.
• If the change is temporary, hide the course instead so its class assignment and student work remain.
• You can assign the course again later, but deleted class-linked work is not restored.

Troubleshooting

• The Unassign button stays disabled until you type unassign exactly as shown.
• If you want to permanently remove the course after unassigning it from every class, see delete a course.
